Terrible machine

Purchased this machine in August 2020. The machine does not drain all the way. Leaves a puddle in the drum most wash cycles. Have to run extra spin most of the time. I use the correct HE soap all the time. I had the repairman come out and he said that there was nothing wrong....Of course there is.....I have had an LG tromm for 15+ years and that is great. This is junk and I want it resolved. Was told this is not an issue...clearly the online reviews say otherwise.

Do not buy this washer

We bought this washer 3 years ago and the washer broke it does not drain. I would assume a washer would last more than 3 years. I am highly disappointed we replaced all of our appliances recently and switched to LG. When we called customer service they say sorry it only has a year warranty I get asked to be transferred to a manager and so far I have been on hold for over an hour. Customer service is everything and there are so many options out there. I would have expected to get good customer service even though the washer was a piece of junk but that was not the case. Maybe I just got a lemon washer who knows but with that and the poor customer service I would never recommend LG

Dryer has not performed to expectations. Have replaced the water pump 4 times Do not buy this unit. Will last you probably 2-3 years before it needs to be repaired

They make only to break

Leaking from under the detergent tray. Flooded out floor and has been leaking for a couple of months every time its used. Its leaked like this over the last 2 years and weve had a tech out twice. They couldnt determine what it was. Now you warranty is expired and so has our extended warranty. HELP US LG Read your facebook page as well

Poor quality resonates throughout

Bought this washer last week with high expectations given my history with a previous LG appliance. However quality is sacrificed in this new model. First the door does not fit snug when closed and even though it locks during operation theres still quite a bit of play in it. However this is trivial compared to the vibration problem Im experiencing. Contrary to LGs prominent claim of TrueBalance technology - which was a leading factor in my decision to purchase this unit - the washer shakes excessively during the peak spin cycle. To demonstrate I placed a unopened gallon of liquid detergent atop the machine and it scooted completely off the edge during a spin cycle under the normal wash cycle the tub about half loaded with light cotton undershirts and gym attire. The first defensive mechanism by the manufacturer will likely be to cite human error claim the unit is not properly grounded and balanced or that the tub was loaded improperly or excessively but neither is accurate. In fact I followed LGs diagnostic process precisely to no avail. The washer is properly balanced front-to-back and side-to-side evidenced by a level and it passes the shake test and the rocking test on all four corners. Yes the shipping bolts are removed as were the other shipping materials. Theres no stray tools or other items near it that can contribute to a problem. The washer rests solidly on a slate tile floor on the first level of my concrete slab home. All boxes checked...still a vibration issue nothing near what I experienced on my 10-year old LG front loader WM2688HMN. So now I have to spend additional dollars - albeit an immaterial $25 - for anti vibration pads to alleviate my problem. The cost is not the aggravation but the installation will be - the unit is close to 200 pounds and I need to move my dryer out of the way to get to it and have someone tilt it front and back while another places the pads under the legs. Not quite what I would expect for a brand new machine. And its quite a shame because Consumer Reports highly rates the LGs.

Good at washing. Forget about WiFi

Have had ours for about a year. Does a good job cleaning. Initially I figured out how to add the Smart Thinq app. Something changed in the past few months and now it is disconnected. LG doesnt have anything on how to get it working again. Bummer. Ive spent over 15minutes looking on this site.
Stay away if you expect to use your phone to monitor.

I bought this washer 2 months ago and I hate it The wash cycles are too long. Clothes are not coming out clean and smell dirty. Called LG and was told to run the tub cycle. Ive ran the run cycle weekly since I purchased them. Do not buy waste of money

I have been using my LG Direct Drive Front Load Washing Machine for several month. I dislike how long the loads run. I put things in that need 20 minutes at best and it runs for an hour. I get tired of waiting for my machine to stop Ive tried using the Speed Wash feature only to get an error message when it tried to spin.

Loud Washer Machine

We bought the washer and dryer from Nebraska Furniture and were sold on the idea that it was a very quiet and high efficiency machine on saving water and electricity. During our first couple washes we discovered that we wouldnt be able to do laundry while our kids sleep any more because of the loud noice this machine makes in any kind of cycle. There has been also a couple times that it drips water and soap through the front door bottom seal. We had an LG technician come out this morning to check it out and he said everything looked great that it is common that its going to be loud like that and that we had to make sure the door and seal were cleaned often to prevent it from leaking. We had the machine for one or two months and we are super clean and careful with our appliances cars etc we make sure to change filter were needed clean the dryers filter after every load the home AC filter so we new that was not a fare solution . We are afraid of leaving our washer machine running when we arent home because the door might open and flood the home.
